Exploring Manhattan

With just over 2,000 residents, the town of Manhattan is a quiet community located 30 minutes west of Bozeman.

Built on the farming and ranching lifestyle, Manhattan features a small-town grocery, some great local restaurants & pubs, and, of course, the annual Potato Festival!

History of Manhattan

Manhattan is built on the spirit of community and the gumption of farmers and entrepreneurs.

A boom and bust community,  Manhattan's first boom was as a malting community. When the economy changed, so did the business, and the first Chamber of Commerce for Manhattan was born.

Funding much of the community's initial infrastructure, the first Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the sidewalks you see today!

Why Manhattan

This quiet suburb is sought after by residents who love the commute, small schools, and interconnected community.

Ever growing, there are a variety of housing styles here, including homestead properties and ranchettes.

Pioneer Crossing has been a popular expansion neighborhood to Manhattan proper, offering new construction on city-sized lots and City services.

For those seeking a more rural lifestyle, Gallatin River Ranch is a 5,600+ acre ranchette subdivision across the East Gallatin River from Downtown Manhattan. It features homesites starting at 10 acres.
