Can you buy a home online?

When you think about your ideal home buying or selling experience would you prefer to be the guide of the transaction, or be guided through the process? As real estate is the largest, and most complex transaction most folks will participate in, it has been my experience that an experienced guide supporting you through the process can be outcome-changing.

How do you choose the right advocate for you? Only 19% of Buyers today start their home search with an agent, while 41% start by looking on the Internet. And why wouldn’t you? The Internet has the inventory available 24/7, right at your fingertips! But if the inventory, really is available right at your fingertips, why do 87% of buyers ultimately purchased their home through a real estate agent?

What you can learn Online about a property only tells you part of the story of the property.

Consider house shopping like purse shopping. I can read the description about a bag from my favorite designer and discern whether it is high quality leather, fabric, or pleather… but unless I can touch and feel it, I don’t really know what the description is telling me. Is the bag stiff, or soft and buttery? Does it feel good to hold it in my hand? I don’t truly know what the experience of that bag will be fore me until I can physically hold it.

Homebuying is very similar. You can get a feel for the area from aerials and neighborhood reports, and you can see the finishes Online and determine it if is stainless steel and granite or white and laminate, but you can’t touch, smell, and experience the property Online. All your senses support you in this purchase process and we want as much as is possible in the process to have the opportunity to engage

every-one.

My clients, on average, look at no-more than six homes in person, two homes less than the national average. How do we do that?

We start by getting curious. Curious about you, and your needs.

We dig into your true wants and needs both individually, and as a couple or team. Your search starts by you creating a “Must Have,”

“Would Love to Have” and “In a Perfect World” list before we ever open MLS or get in the car. It is important that both you and your decision-making partner complete these lists individually, and then review your priorities together... before visiting me.

With your criteria list in hand, you CAN buy a home totally Online, if needed, with me as your advocate. The difference is, you aren't relying exclusively on photography and market data. You have an on-site professional to disclose the details, highlight the benefits and drawbacks of any potential property and peek into the closets and un-photographed areas, with you in virtual tow. You will have the chance to explore the space and get a sense of scale. Most importantly, you'll have an inspection period that provides you the opportunity to get on-site while your earnest money is protected.

Are you curious how to define your personal goals? Let’s sit down and explore what might be possible together.
