In this world of contact sports, concussions and tv time, what is the best choice for your keeping kids active and safe? As a Bozeman local, I am familiar with our kids sporting options. I was raised in a soccer family. Why? My Mom wouldn't allow the risk of injury football posed (especially in the 80's and 90's before the contact rules changed.)

We used to only have a couple of choices for youth soccer in Bozeman, YMCA (no travel) or Blitz (travel). Today, we have two competitive leagues, Blitz and Gallatin Elite. I am a proponent of Gallatin Elite because they are a league that lets players play based on skill. Also, they have scholarship opportunities to let qualified players travel, even if it isn't in their family budget. I think this is a defining characteristic of the club.

Interested in why this particular club's values stand out to me? See what Gallatin Elite has to say about why they exist in their own words:

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ELITE
BY SOCCER PLAYERS FOR SOCCER PLAYERS
Gallatin Elite Soccer Club is changing the youth soccer landscape in Bozeman, Belgrade, Gallatin County, and Montana and we are committed to getting more kids in the area playing soccer. We firmly believe not only in the ability of soccer in combination with a safe and positive environment to teach valuable life lessons and instill virtue, but also that it is the greatest sport in the world.
We are a full service soccer club that has programming for young kids interested in their first taste of soccer all the way up to those that may be interested in playing in college and beyond.

Soccer is a game that promotes healthy living and that can be enjoyed for a lifetime and we at GESC are living and breathing examples of that. For more about what makes Gallatin Elite different, click here.

This passage urges readers to recognize how easily we neglect our own desires—whether because of health challenges, guilt, or societal expectations—and shows how we often settle for "good enough" decisions, especially in our homes and life choices.
